PRVE-0029 : Hardware clock synchronization check could not run on node

I have SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP4  (x86_64) on one of my server. I was trying to install Database Management Softwre Oracle 11.2.0.2 RAC on it.

In first stage crosschecking Real Application Cluster prerequisites. I hit a bug.

grid@SERVER1:~> ./runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst  -n "SERVER1,SERVER2" -verbose

Every thing was fine in output of above command other than few last lines.

PRVE-0029 : Hardware clock synchronization check could not run on node"SERVER2"
PRVE-0029 : Hardware clock synchronization check could not run on node"SERVER1"
Check for Hardware Clock synchronization at shutdown failed

On further exploring this, i found this is an Oracle Bug and still unsolved. Please see below

  Code

  Component: Portable ClusterWare
  ===============================
  DETAILED PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
  ============================
  cluvfy and OUI check before installation of GI 11.2.0.2 for Hardware clock
  synchronization
  On SLES this always leads to
  PRVE-0029 : Hardware clock synchronization check could not run on node xxx

  DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS
  ===================
  shutdown_hwclock_sync.sh :

  $RPM -q sles-release >/dev/null
  if [ $? -eq 0 ]
  then
  #SUSE it is
  SHUTDOWNSCRIPT=/etc/init.d/halt.local
  return
  fi

  but file halt.local does not contain the hwclock synch commands. They are in
  halt script as on RHEL. halt.local has only comments to put own commands
  into it which should be run when system shuts down

  oracle@ocs22a:/etc/init.d> ls -lrt halt*
  -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 6255 2010-01-08 17:09 halt
  -rwxr--r-- 1 root root 360 2010-09-29 13:51 halt.local
