How to Stop EXPDP or IMPDP Job

Applies To:

Oracle 10.2.0.1 onwards

Command:

Expdp and Impdp job is running suddenly need to stop this job. Use following job:

1.      Go to screen when job is running like
[oracle@itc266 ~]$ impdp system/sys dumpfile=test.dmp directory=backup logfile=test.log 
Import: Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production on Monday, 11 July, 2011 13:43:22
Copyright (c) 2003, 2005, Oracle.  All rights reserved.
Connected to: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options
Master table "SYSTEM"."SYS_IMPORT_FULL_08" successfully loaded/unloaded
Starting "SYSTEM"."SYS_IMPORT_FULL_08":  system/******** dumpfile=test.dmp directory=backup logfile=test.log  Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/USER
ORA-31684: Object type USER:"tst" already exists
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/SYSTEM_GRANT
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/DEFAULT_ROLE
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLESPACE_QUOTA
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/PRE_SCHEMA/PROCACT_SCHEMA
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/SYNONYM/SYNONYM

2.      Press CTL+C following screen will appear.
Import>
Now type “stop_job=immediate”

Import> stop_job=immediate

3.      Following screen will appear:

Are you sure you wish to stop this job ([yes]/no):

Now type “yes”
Are you sure you wish to stop this job ([yes]/no): yes
Expdp or Impdp will stop after few seconds.
